Street Fighter II' Turbo: Hyper Fighting (Japanese: ストリートファイターIIダッシュターボ -HYPER FIGHTING) is a competitive fighting game released for the arcades by Capcom in 1992. It is the third game in the Street Fighter II sub-series of Street Fighter games following Street Fighter II': Champion Edition. Released less than a year after the previous installment, Hyper Fighting introduced a faster playing speed and new special moves for certain characters, as well as further refinement to the character balance.

Hyper Fighting is the final arcade game in the Street Fighter II series to use the original CP System hardware. Flash Hiders (Japanese: フラッシュハイダース?) is a 1993 fighting video game developed and published exclusively in Japan on December 19, 1993 for the PC-Engine Super CD-ROM².

Flash Hiders was followed by a 1995 sequel titled Battle Tycoon: Flash Hiders SFX, which was also released exclusively in Japan, but developed for the Super Famicom.

Bishoujo Wrestler Retsuden: Blizzard Yuki Rannyuu is a Strategy game, published by KSS, which was released in Japan in 1996.

Battle Master is a 1990 fantasy action adventure game designed by Mike Simpson and Simon Jones for PSS and distributed by Mirrorsoft. The game is a fantasy adventure in which the player controls a champion who must battle evil forces to conquer four kingdoms, uniting the four kings' crowns and presenting them to the Watcher in order to restore the world to peace.

Mobile Suit Victory Gundam (機動戦士Vガンダム Kidō Senshi Vikutorī Gandamu^?, Mobile Suit V Gundam), is a 1993 Japanese science fiction anime television series. It consists of 51 episodes, and was directed by Gundam creator Yoshiyuki Tomino. The series was first broadcast on TV Asahi (and its ANN stations). It is the final Gundam television series set in the Universal Century calendar.

HammerLock Wrestling is a professional wrestling game for the Super NES that was released in 1994. In Japan, this game was called Tenryu Genichiro no Pro Wrestling Revolution (天龍源一郎のプロレスレボリューション?).

Named after Japanese professional wrestler Genichiro Tenryu and his faction Revolution, the Japanese version of the game uses the official license of the Japanese wrestling promotion Wrestle and Romance.

Bastard!!: Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy (BASTARD!!-暗黒の破壊神- Basutādo!! Ankoku no Hakaishin^?, lit. "Bastard!! The Destructive God of Darkness") is a manga by Kazushi Hagiwara. It first appeared in Weekly Shōnen Jump, in 1988, and continues to be published irregularly today in Ultra Jump. Currently, it spans 27 volumes.

Kazushi Hagiwara is an enthusiastic fan of heavy metal music and Dungeons & Dragons, using ideas from both of these in the Bastard!! story. Many characters and places in the story, for instance, are named after members of Hagiwara's favorite bands. Hagiwara also attributes the manga Devilman by Go Nagai as a primary influence on his artwork.

SD Hiryu no Ken is an Action game, published by Culture Brain, which was released in Japan in 1994.

Ultra Seven is an Action game, developed by Bec and published by Bandai, which was released in Japan in 1993.

Super Chinese Fighter (スーパーチャイニーズファイター?) is a 1995 fighting game developed and published by Culture Brain for the Super Famicom exclusively in Japan. It is part of the Super Chinese series, but is not in the main series of the games. Fighter allows players to fight in fighting game battles using characters from the Super Chinese games, including Jack and Ryu. This game is the first Super Chinese Fighter game. Two others, Super Chinese Fighter GB and Super Chinese Fighter EX, were released after this game, although none of these games were released in North America.

Osu!! Karatebu is an Action game, developed and published by Culture Brain, which was released in Japan in 1994.

Ryuuko no Ken 2

Hokuto no Ken 6 is an Action game, developed by Shouei and published by Toei Animation, which was released in Japan in 1992.

Ranma Nibunnoichi – Chougi Ranbu Hen

Hokuto no Ken 7 : Seiken Retsuden Denshōsha e no Michi (北斗の拳７ 聖拳列伝 伝承者への道^?, Fist of the North Star 7: History of the Sacred Fist - The Way of the Successor) is the third and final Hokuto no Ken video game for the Super Famicom in Japan, released on December 24, 1993. It is a fighting game similar to the previous installment, Hokuto no Ken 6, which changes to the game mechanics and character roster.

Ranma Nibunnoichi – Hard Battle

Cho Aniki (超兄貴 Chō Aniki^?, lit. "Super Big Brother") is a Japanese video game series originally developed by Masaya and published by NCS Corp. The first game debuted in 1992 for the PC Engine system. The game's sequels and spin-offs later appeared on the Super Famicom, Wonderswan, Sega Saturn, PlayStation, and PlayStation 2. Mainly consisting of side-scrolling shoot 'em up in the vein of Gradius, the Cho Aniki series is best known for its homoerotic overtones, wacky humor and vivid, surreal imagery. Most of the games have never seen release outside Japan.

For various reasons, the popularity of the Cho Aniki games has endured since the series' debut. Highlights of the various games include in-game music, innovative control schemes or sheer kitsch value. In Japan, these games are examples of baka-ge, a type of kuso-ge. "Baka-ge" literally means "idiot game" while "kuso-ge" literally means "shitty game" or "shit game". Baka-ge's appeal lies in its campness. Indisputably, the game's aesthetic sense — semi-nude muscular men in suggestive homoerotic poses — is a unique one, certainly a quality that has given the series a cult popularity among Western gamers. Though the graphics are more risqué than pornographic, the series references homosexuality and gay sex more directly and more often than perhaps any other video game series in history.

Occasionally, the title is transliterated as "Choaniki", "Chou Aniki", or (erroneously) "Cho Eniki".

The rights to the series are currently owned by Extreme Co., Ltd., which had obtained the rights of NCS Corp. and Masaya products and trademarks.

Boxing Legends of the Ring (known in Japan as ファイナルノックアウト (Final Knockout^?)) is a boxing video game for the Mega Drive/Genesis and Super NES consoles. The boxers are represented by 2D sprites seen from over the shoulder of one of the fighters. The title of the game refers to the famous boxing magazine, The Ring, which the game is licensed to associate itself with. The following famous middleweight boxers are represented in the game: Sugar Ray Leonard, Roberto Durán, Thomas Hearns, James Toney, Marvin Hagler, Jake LaMotta, Sugar Ray Robinson, and Rocky Graziano.

All of the fights in the game take place in the Las Vegas Hilton casino in the North American version. There are also advertising banners for HBO visible during fights that are not available in the Japanese version. In the Japanese version, the game takes place in a generic boxing ring using the publisher's name in place of the HBO advertisements found in the North American version. Even in the Japanese version, the options are mostly in English.

A special version was released in Mexico and the American Southwest called Chavez II; the game exchanged the English language words for Spanish and omitted some vocals.

Godzilla: Kaijuu Daikessen (ゴジラ 怪獣大決戦^?) (literally translated Godzilla: Monster War) is a two-dimensional fighting game for the Super Famicom, released in 1994. The game was developed by Alfa System and published by Toho. It was the sequel to Godzilla: Battle Legends, and the second Godzilla game released for the Super Famicom platform, the other being Super Godzilla.

In the game, players select from one of eight different monsters from the Godzilla movies and battle in a variety of locations. The game was never released outside of Japan. According to Nintendo Power, the game was planned to be released in North America in April 1995 under the title Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters. However, it was never released.

Seifuku Densetsu Pretty Fighter (制服伝説 プリティ・ファイター Seifuku Densetsu Puriti Faitā^?, lit. "Seifuku Legend Pretty Fighter") is a 1994 fighting game developed by Genki and published by Imagineer for the Super Famicom. Similar to Metal & Lace: Battle of the Robo Babes, the Variable Geo and Asuka 120% franchises, the game features an all-female roster with eight fan service-friendly girls.

In 1995, an enhanced version titled Seifuku Densetsu Pretty Fighter X (制服伝説 プリティ・ファイターX^?), was released for the Sega Saturn. This version is basically the same as the original version, but features four additional characters and anime-style animation sequences, as well as altered graphics and audio. In 1996, a 3D sequel titled FIST was released for the Sony PlayStation and Sega Saturn, but had little success in Japan with low ratings and sales.

Yuu Yuu Hakusho: Tokubetsu Hen is an Action game, developed and published by Namco, which was released in Japan in 1994.

Yuu Yuu Hakusho 2: Kakutou no Sho is an Action game, developed by TOSE and published by Namco, which was released in Japan in 1994.

Taekwon-Do (テコンドー^?) (Hangul: 태권도; Hanja: 跆拳道) is a 2D Taekwondo fighting video game that attempts to capture a realistic tone of Taekwondo tournament fighting. It was developed by Human Club and published by Human Entertainment, which was released exclusively in Japan and South Korea in 1994.

Yuu Yuu Hakusho Final is an Action game, developed by TOSE and published by Namco, which was released in Japan in 1995.

WWF WrestleMania (also known on console versions as WWF WrestleMania: The Arcade Game) is a professional wrestling arcade game released by Midway Manufacturing Co. in 1995. It is based on the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) professional wrestling promotion.

The game featured digitized representations of eight WWF performers who are pitted against each other in fast-paced matches inspired by Midway's Mortal Kombat and NBA Jam games. Commentary is provided by Vince McMahon and Jerry Lawler, who also appear in the game sitting at the announcers' table to the right of the ring.

Acclaim, who published the console versions of the game, developed a follow-up, WWF in Your House for the PlayStation, Sega Saturn, and DOS.

WWF Super WrestleMania is a multiplatform wrestling video game based on the World Wrestling Federation, released in 1992 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System and the Sega Mega Drive/Sega Genesis.

Two other 16-bit WWF games, WWF Royal Rumble and WWF Raw, were released which retained the "tug-of-war" style grappling system, where moves are performed by locking up and out-tapping the other player or the computer to execute a move.

WWF Royal Rumble is a professional wrestling video game released by LJN in 1993 for the Super NES and Sega Genesis. Like its predecessor, WWF Super WrestleMania it is based on the World Wrestling Federation. It features a variety of match types, including the newly added Royal Rumble match. The game's roster consists of wrestlers who were top stars in the WWF at the time, and each version of the game has five exclusive playable characters.

The game boasts several new features, including an on-screen meter grappling meter and steel chairs that can be used as weapons. Royal Rumble also adds a variety of new moves, including illegal tactics such as choking and each wrestler's signature finishing moves.

The game was followed up with the Sega Mega-CD release WWF Rage in the Cage and a direct sequel, WWF Raw.

WWF RAW is a video game based on the television show of the same name produced by the World Wrestling Federation, released for the SNES, Sega 32X, Mega Drive/Genesis, and Game Boy in late 1994 and early 1995 by Acclaim Entertainment. It is the sequel to the WWF Royal Rumble game that was released in 1993, and is the final part of LJN's 16-bit WWF trilogy. Players can play either One-on-One, Tag Team, Bedlam, Survivor Series, Royal Rumble, or a Raw Endurance Match.

WWF RAW introduces differences between the characters in that they not only have their own signature moves, but differing move sets altogether (including new over-the-top "mega moves"). The game adds many moves not seen in the previous games, such as a DDT, a fallaway slam, and various types of suplexes. Additionally, wrestlers differ in attributes of speed, strength, stamina, and weight.

The game itself is arcade-like and involves a "tug-of-war" system in which, when the wrestlers lock-up, a meter appears above them and players must repeatedly press buttons to pull the energy away from the opponent's side to theirs. With more energy, they can perform moves with greater impact. Once an opponent's energy is low enough, a player can perform a wrestler's unique signature move.

World Heroes 2 (ワールドヒーローズ2?) is a 1993 fighting arcade game developed and published by ADK with the assistance of SNK (now known as SNK Playmore). It was originally released for the Neo Geo MVS arcade cabinet on April 28, 1993. It is the sequel to the 1992 fighting arcade game World Heroes, as well as the second title of the World Heroes series. It was even the first game with the "ADK" logo labeled within the game after the developer changed from its previous name "Alpha Denshi"; however, the "Alpha" logo was last used on one of the arcade flyers of World Heroes 2.

It was followed by a sequel released less than a year later titled World Heroes 2 Jet.

World Heroes (ワールドヒーローズ, Wārudo Hīrōzu?) is a series of fighting games created by ADK originally created for the Neo Geo MVS arcade cabinets with the assistance of SNK, though some of the games in the series were also ported to the Neo Geo AES and Neo-Geo CD platforms, as well as some non-SNK platforms such as the Super NES and the Sega Saturn. A fifth title World Heroes Pocket was announced for release on the Neo Geo Pocket, but was canceled.

The general premise is that a scientist, Dr. Brown, having perfected a time machine, organized a tournament for various fighters throughout all of history to combat each other. True to this plot, many of the fighters are based on actual historical figures, while some are fictional ones.

Weaponlord is a fighting game developed by Visual Concepts and published by Namco for the Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis/Mega Drive in October 1995. As in other fighting games, Weaponlord has players select a character and defeat a series of opponents. The game is a weapons-based fighter, with various gory moves and a deep counterattack system. Project leads James Goddard and Dave Winstead aimed to design a title for enthusiasts of the fighting game genre. Unlike many other fighting games of the time, WeaponLord was designed specifically for home consoles and was one of the first fighting games optimized for online play. It has also been cited as the basis for Namco's Soul Edge/Calibur series.

WCW SuperBrawl Wrestling is a video game released for the SNES in 1994. The third World Championship Wrestling (WCW) video game, it is named after the pay-per-view, SuperBrawl. It was the only WCW game to be released on the Super Nintendo, and the last to be produced by FCI.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters, or Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles: Tournament Fighters in Europe, is the title of three different fighting games based on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise, produced by Konami for the Nintendo Entertainment System, Mega Drive/Genesis, and Super NES and released during a period between 1993 and 1994. Konami produced a different fighting game based on the franchise for each platform, featuring a differing cast of characters.

Street Fighter II: The World Warrior (Japanese: ストリートファイターⅡ -The World Warrior-^?) is a competitive fighting game originally released for the arcades in 1991. It is the second entry in the Street Fighter series and the arcade sequel to the original Street Fighter released in 1987. It is Capcom's fourteenth title that runs on the CP System arcade hardware. Street Fighter II improves upon the many concepts introduced in the first game, including the use of command-based special moves and a six-button configuration, while offering players a selection of multiple playable characters, each with their own unique fighting style, and introducing a combo system and competitive multiplayer combat between two players.

The success of Street Fighter II is credited for starting the fighting game boom during the 1990s which inspired other game developers to produce their own fighting game franchises, popularizing the genre, and setting off a renaissance for the arcade game industry in the early 1990s. It was then ported to the Super Nintendo Entertainment System home console, for which it became a long-lasting system-seller. Its success led to a sub-series of updated versions (see below), each offering additional features and characters over previous versions, as well as several home versions.

By 1994, the game had been played by at least 25 million Americans in homes and arcades. By 1995, gross revenues of Street Fighter II and Street Fighter II: Champion Edition arcade machines had exceeded $2.312 billion (equivalent to over $4.02 billion in 2015). The video game console ports sold more than 14 million copies; the Super NES port of the original game sold 6.3 million units, making it Capcom 's best-selling single consumer game software of all time until 2013 (when it was surpassed by Resident Evil 5) and remaining their best-selling game software on a single platform through to the present day.

Street Fighter 2 Next Generation

Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers (スーパーストリートファイターII：新しい挑戦 Sūpā Sutorīto Faitā II: Atarashī Chōsen^?) is a head-to-head fighting game produced by Capcom originally released as a coin-operated arcade game in 1993. It is the fourth game in the Street Fighter II sub-series of Street Fighter games, following Street Fighter II' Turbo: Hyper Fighting. In addition to refining and balancing the existing character roster from the previous versions, Super Street Fighter II also introduced four new characters. It was also the first game to be developed on Capcom 's CP System II hardware, which permitted more sophisticated graphics and audio over the original CP System hardware used in previous versions of Street Fighter II.

Super Street Fighter II was followed by Super Street Fighter II Turbo, a fifth version of Street Fighter II released the following year, which further refined the balance between characters and introduced additional new features.

Street Combat is an Action game, developed and published by NCS, which was released in Japan in 1992.

Shaq Fu is a 2D fighting game released on the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis and Super Nintendo game platforms on October 28, 1994. It was ported to the Amiga, Game Gear and Game Boy platforms in 1995. The game was published by Electronic Arts and developed by the now-defunct Delphine Software International. It features former professional basketball player Shaquille O'Neal (also known as Shaq) as a playable character. It is considered one of the worst video games of all time. A sequel, Shaq-Fu: A Legend Reborn, is in development.
